If you love to crochet, this is a great project that only takes 3-4 of hours to make.    Jute is a cord that has the perfect density and thickness to make a strong, sturdy and stiff basket that needs no other support when finished.  We found that the Jute can be a little rough to work with, especially if you are used to crocheting with yarn but the effort is well worth it.  Add a piece of leather to make it your own or in our case we added a Love Link.

These adorable square baskets are made with 2 strands of Jute cord (2 strands crocheted at the same time) and a size G (4.25) crochet hook.  The only stitch you need to know is the single crochet.
